Accountant for the Accounting Department
HRUS Partners (license number 414) on behalf of our client, reputable and well established Law firm in Limassol, we are currently looking for an Accountant to join their expanding team.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee bookkeeping, ensuring up-to-date records of expenses, payables, receivables, ledgers, and journals.
- Review bank accounts daily to ensure accuracy and promptly report discrepancies.
- Draft, issue, and approve invoices, track invoicing, and monitor collections.
- Maintain accuracy in the general ledger by reviewing transactions and performing regular bank reconciliations.
- Manage bank accounts, including setup and administration.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Generate internal reports as requested by management.
- Prepare and review quarterly VAT, monthly VIES submissions, and ensure timely, accurate tax filings and compliance.
- Process accounts payable and manage supplier correspondence and inquiries.
- Supervise invoice processing, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payments.
- Manage income, revenue, and tax filings, including income tax, VAT, social insurance, and compliance via TAXISNET and TFA.
- Coordinate with external auditors to maintain up-to-date records for the firm and third parties.
- Process payroll for the firm and third parties, with familiarity in ERGANI and SISNET software as a plus.
- Attend training seminars for professional development.
- Perform general accounting tasks as typical of accounting departments.
Qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA or ACA qualified or semi-qualified will be considered as an additional qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance position.
- Excellent command of the English and Greek languages both verbal and written.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. excel, word, outlook etc.).
- Knowledge of QUICKBOOK and INTELISOFT software, will be considered as a significant additional qualification and advantage.

- Adaptability and ability to learn quickly.
- Professional attitude.
- Knowledge of the applicable Direct and Indirect Tax, Social Insurance and other relevant legislation shall be considered as an advantage.
Benefits:
- Payment of thirteen (13) salaries per annum.
- Twenty-two (22) days of paid annual leave.
- Three (3) days paid sick leave.
- Working hours on Friday’s from 8:00-14:00
- Contribution to Provident Fund or other Pension Fund.
