Overview:
HRus Partners (license no. 414) on behalf of our client, a well-established Insurance Broker in Limassol, we are currently looking for a Broker Assistant. The position is part of the technical team, and entails supporting the technical team on all broking-related activities. You will be assisting the Insurance and Reinsurance Broker in responding to clients’ requests and managing the facultative and treaty reinsurance.
Main Tasks:
- Enter and maintain information in the system, ensuring accurate and timely input of data in all applicable systems.
- Ensure proper closure with carriers with complete and accurate documentation.
- Interpret and assess reinsurance agreements and perform review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations.
- Acts as key point for placements with clients and provides advice on placement design, available coverage and capacity, pricing, potential coverage enhancements and market progress and negotiates terms and conditions of placement with Insurers/Reinsurers.
- Work closely with other departments to support the broking process.
- Participate in department meetings to share opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions, and work to maintain best practices.
- Assist in preparing reinsurance slips, account administration, technical accounts, claims management, etc.
- Participate in the reinsurance renewal process and interact with clients and reinsurers.
- Assist in working on clients’ portfolios and claims data, and structure them in a proper way for reinsurance renewals purposes.
- Liaise with compliance to ensure all procedures are followed.
- Act as an effective team member aligned to team goals and objectives and participate actively in team strategy meetings.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- A Professional Insurance certification (such as CII) is a plus.
- 0-3 years’ recent experience in a similar position
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills. French, Arabic or Greek language would be a plus
