HRus Partners (licence number 414), on behalf of our client, a well established and highly reputable Law Firm in Limassol, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and driven litigation lawyer to assume the leadership of their Litigation Department for their offices in Limassol. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and supervise the Litigation Department of the Firm and its members
- Train, mentor and develop the members of the litigation team
- Allocate and oversee the distribution of litigation cases
- Handle, oversee and manage a portfolio of complex, high-value or significant litigation cases
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials and ADR procedures
- Prepare and review pleadings and other court documents prepared by the litigation team members to ensure quality and accuracy
- Prepare and review legal opinions
- Act as the focal point of contact, especially for key litigation clients
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the Firm’s litigation department
- Represent the Firm at professional and promotional events, conferences and networking activities
- Contribute to the shaping, improvement and implementation of the Firm’s overall business plan and strategy, its policies and procedures
- Assist to the preparation, monitoring and implementation of the Department’s budgets, billing and profitability targets and of each of the Department’s team member
- Conduct periodic employee assessments and performance appraisals, job interviews and other necessary HR functions concerning the Litigation Department
Professional and Academic Requirements:
- At least seven (7) years of post-qualification experience in contentious litigation cases and Court practice
- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) with a minimum grade of 2.1 (upper second) or equivalent
- LL.M.(Master of Laws) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage
- Cyprus Bar Association License
- ADR or other professional certificates or qualifications will be considered an advantage
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Fluent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and oral
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite
